Children

Children and young people are welcomed from birth and play an integral part in the life of our churches. They are provided with many opportunities to explore and develop their faith from baptism/thanksgiving, through attendance at church services, joining a variety of nurture groups and being supported to enhance their commitment by being confirmed. Social and recreational groups help to develop relationships with each other and the wider community. We have forged strong links with all our local schools, visiting them regularly for assemblies and activity sessions and inviting them into our buildings for specific events.

Children are welcomed from birth to attend services, many of which are aimed at children.

A crèche is available at some services where children can make their first steps in faith.

Parents are welcome to bring children for baptism or thanksgiving.

The variety of opportunities for children aged 5 – 11 provide support on their faith journey, from Junior Church, JAM and BOSS clubs to links with local schools and uniformed groups who attend parade services

For teenagers there are recreational opportunities through Vineyard and uniformed groups but also faith based groups which can lead to decisions about confirmation and increased faith commitment.
