Mothers' Union
"Mothers' Union is a Christian organisation with more than 3.6 million members in 79 countries worldwide. The backbone of Mothers' Union is its worldwide network of grassroots volunteers. Whatever their individual backgrounds, members are united in their commitment to supporting marriage and family life. They give their time to generously help others, whether by running local projects, supporting international campaigns, or fundraising."
Halewood Mothers Union - Hazel Royden writes:
Halewood Mothers' Union meets regularly at the St Nicholas' Centre, on the first Thursday in each month, with occasional evening meetings to make it easier for anyone who works during the daytime to attend. In March we hosted the annual Lady Day service and provided a buffet lunch in the Centre afterwards. The day out in June to Kirby Lonsdale soon sold out, and considering the summer we had, the weather wasn’t bad either. Sandra Thomas kindly hosted the Garden Party in July and in September we provided the successful tombola table at the Deanery table sale. Then in November, members attended Cathedral Day. In December we held our Christmas Party, and throughout the rest of the year, members were entertained by some wonderful speakers including three members of the clergy. We also enrolled three new MUsclmen along with two new members.

Bless the work of the Mothers' Union as we seek to share your love through the encouragement, strengthening and support of marriage and family life. Empowered by your Spirit, may we be united in prayer and worship, and in love and service reach out as your hands across the world. In Jesus' name. Amen |
