May 2010Saturday1stWeek of Prayer 'Labyrinth' at St Mary's, 10:00AM-4:00PM. On the day of the Prayer Labyrinth at St Mary’s (Saturday 1st May) we are going to have a ‘money mile’ in aid of a charity called Hope HIV which helps train Aids orphans in Africa to be able to support their remaining families. If you have any 1p or 2p coins spare come along and add them to our design. If you are not able to attend you can pass them to Tina at St Mary’s or into the parish office by 12 noon Friday 30th April. Thank you.
Sunday2ndEric's Birthday Party! 3-5:00PM at the St Nicholas Centre. Come and help Eric celebrate his birthday with fun and games, party food & drink. For children aged 7 and under (to be accompanied by an adult); tickets £3 each or 2 for £5, adults (accompanying children) free! Tickets available from Hilary Mason, Debbie Knox, Sharon Murphy & Pat Hatchard.
Week of Prayer: 'Cluster' Service. 6:30PM at St Hilda's. The offical end of our Week of Prayer.
Saturday8thMay Walk - Chester and the River Dee. We are going by train. Times as follows: Hunts Cross 9.36 a.m., South Parkway 9.39 a.m. meeting together at Central Station for the 10.15 a.m. train to Chester (or meet at Chester Tourist Information Centre at 11.15 a.m.) Pleasant walk, no stiles, approximately 5 miles. Thursday13th***Ascension Day***. 9:15AM Holy Communion Service at St Nicholas'.
Sunday16thArchdeacon's Visitation. This service, at which Churchwardens and Sidespersons are admitted to office, takes place at 6:30PM at All Souls, Springwood. If you are not able to attend, please ask Sarah or Alan for details of alternative arrangements.
Sunday23rdTwo Cathedrals Pentecost Walk. We are planning to go to the two Cathedrals Pentecost Service & walk on the afternoon of Sunday 23rd May. Transport will be provided at a cost of £3.00 per person. Please sign the lists at St Nicholas & St Mary’s if you want to join us.
June 2010Thursday3rdMothers' Union Day Out to Buxton, Derbyshire. The cost is £22.50, which includes a 3 course meal. Further details from Sandra Thomas (487 5676).
