Alan writes: "On Thursday 15th January 2009 at Cathedral Evensong, I was re-licensed as Team Rector of Halewood for a futher 7 years, by the Bishop of Warrington. My thanks to those who were able to be there to support me on the day, everyone who has sent me their good wishes and all who have encouraged me during the first eleven years of my ministry here!" |

Biography
Alan was born in Gloucester in 1959. After taking a degree in Geography at Oxford, he was selected to train for ordained ministry in the Church of England. He trained at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford, where he read for a degree in Theology, and was Ordained Deacon in 1986. Alan served a Curacy at Holy Trinity, Walton, Aylesbury in the Oxford Diocese until 1991 when he became Team Vicar at St Michael and All Angels, in the Sutton Team, in the Diocese of Liverpool. In 1997, Alan became Team Vicar at St Nicholas', in the Halewood Team. In 2001, he became Team Rector, the post he still holds.
Alan is married to Rose, a maths teacher, and they have three children - Christopher, Matthew and Elizabeth.
Alan plays a Fender Stratocaster guitar and for his 50th birthday he became the proud owner of a Gibson Les Paul.
