Listening Ear (Merseyside) is based at the St Nicholas Centre and offers a free, confidential, non-judgemental, reflective listening, counselling and bereavement service for people aged sixteen and over from across Merseyside.
The Butterfiles project offers a service to under sixteens affected by bereavement and loss.

Listening Ear (Merseyside)'s Memorandum and Articles of Association states that its objective is to provide:
"the relief of persons in Merseyside who are in conditions of poverty, sickness and distress, in particular by the provision of a professional, Christian, caring and confidential reflective listening and counselling service with the purpose of relieving such persons."
